How do I identify the specific assessments that fit a specific job?
Once

elements of the job that are most related to performance and are
difficult to teach a person once they are on the job. When you have

Use the following criteria to
evaluate any assessment:

- Are the results of the assessment easy for hiring managers to understand and interpret?
- Is the assessment easy to administer and not overly burdensome on the candidate or the administrator?
- Has the assessment been constructed by a responsible party in accordance with professional standards, to include collection of reliability data, validity evidence, and disparate impact data?
- Is a technical manual detailing the construction and validation approach, as well as recommended use procedures available?
