How does it all work?

The basic process for using Brainbench for Pre-Hire Testing is:

1. Log on to your Corporate Account.
2. Purchase assessment credits.
3. Select the assessment(s) you want to administer and authorize an assessment event by creating a Personal Identification Number (PIN) code.
4. Give the PIN to the individual along with instructions for taking the assessment.
5. Review the results in your e-mail and/or online once the assessment is completed.

Inside your corporate account, there are numerous features for creating test batteries, and searching test results. There are also numerous, more sophisticated features for automatic test authorization and results reporting to ATSs. Please contact us to learn more.

How do I purchase an assessment?

Brainbench assessments work using a credit system. You can purchase assessment credits online with a credit card from within your Corporate Account. Alternatively, you can purchase credits from our sales representatives or from one of our numerous distributors. To contact the appropriate representatives, please contact us.

What is a Corporate Account?

A Corporate Account is a username/password protected area where you, as an administrator, can authorize assessments and review results. You can also search our Candidate Database, at no cost from within your Corporate Account. If you don't already have an account, you can create your own Corporate Account (FREE).

How can I tell how many credits I have remaining?

This information is readily available online within your Corporate Account.

Where/when do I see the results?

Assessment results are e-mailed to the location you determine when you authorize the assessment. Additionally, they are always available online via your Corporate Account.

Who else can see the assessment results?

Assessment results are available to users who have been allowed access to your Corporate Account. Only users that you authorize will have this access. Every user has their own username and password, and there are different levels of access you can set. For example, you may want some users to be allowed to view test results, but not authorize new test events.

What is the availability and reliability of your online testing system?

Brainbench's online assessment system is generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Occasionally, we have scheduled maintenance that requires us to prevent access for short periods of time. All corporate account holders are notified a week in advance of these periods and maintenance is done during non-peak testing hours. Our uptime record for the past five years is above 99.5%.

What is the Candidate Database?

In addition to organizations, individuals use Brainbench to quantify and qualify their skills. These individuals take certification exams that they choose to make available to employers searching for candidates. Our Candidate Database is free and gives you the ability to search this database for your own sourcing purposes. With over 1 million candidates and their test results, many corporations find it to be a rich source of qualified passive as well as active candidates.

Are my candidates included in the Candidate Database for others to see?

Never. Candidates assessed via Corporate Accounts are never visible to users outside of that Corporate Account.

How can I combine more than one assessment into a test battery?

You can group any number of assessments into a test battery inside your Corporate Account. Then you can authorize test events against this test battery as many times as you like.

How does Brainbench build and validate its assessments?

We carefully follow all professional guidelines for test development and validation. Since different types of tests are developed and validated differently, this is a complex topic. Please refer to The Science Behind the Tests.

Are completed assessments ever deleted from my corporate account?

No. Completed assessment results remain available to you in your Corporate Account forever.

How long will unused credits remain available?

In general, unused credits are valid for one year from the date they were purchased.
