Our Brainbench system provides detailed scoring, which is very valuable. Once again, it's the quality of the data that we're looking for: not just the validation of skill, but the detail of that validation.

One year ago, I started teaching at the local Business Institute. The only certification I had was Novell Administrator from about 8 years before. I was hired to teach AS/400 and RPG/400; and I soon signed up for Brainbench. I am able to demonstrate to my students and my administration, that I am qualified to teach.

As a Brainbench early adopter (since 2000), I have enjoyed having the ability to enhance my resume with certification credentials that seem to help in capturing potential employer's attention. I believe that having the Dreamweaver certification shifted a "looks good" to a "let's make an offer" for my last contract assignment.

I am an Instructor at Vatterott College in Omaha, NE. I teach several computer programming language courses.

I began using Brainbench in my classroom during the last year. I started by "building in" some Lab time for Brainbench testing for my students. Of course, I use Brainbench too! I have three job role certifications, and 35 individual test certifications.

Rather than dreading the testing process, using Brainbench is a great way to recondition yourself to enjoy "certification" testing. My students are sometimes pleasantly surprised to find that they "know" a subject better than they had thought.

It allows the individual to clearly understand their strong areas in a subject, as well as to focus study targets for weak areas.

I compared Brainbench to several other CBT alternatives and chose Brainbench because of its diverse test base. The tests that are available are not related just to a specific discipline but to many areas, as specific as the Java programming language and as broad as Workplace Fundamentals.

I have recommended Brainbench for use as a campus-wide learning tool in all of our courses offerings: Computer Programming, Pharmacy Technician, Graphic Arts, and Accounting.

As a consultant, I feel that the Brainbench certifications give me the opportunity to show my clients what I can do for them. I have a Master's Degree, but that doesn't really show any specialization; certifications do.

I have been using the [Brainbench] exams for over 2 years. The tests give me a way to enhance what I already know but also to help see what is new in the industry. I have even used them in some of the classes I have taught.

I've been working with computers since age 12. At that time, Latvia, where I live and work, was a part of Soviet Union, and it was almost impossible for an average person to get access to a PC. Luckily, my father was working at the Informatics Institute, and I had a chance to touch the keyboard several times a week. Not much - that's why my first programs were hand-written on paper and executed in my brain.

I thought I knew virtually everything regarding computers and software, and I quit university after 3 months. Years passed. I felt that I was not working at my full potential, but things changed. I found Brainbench.

In the beginning, I didn't take it seriously - the [IT] tests seemed too easy for me. But not until I tried non-IT tests. What? I didn't know something? I discovered a whole new world! And lots of opportunities!

I'm now learning new things every day - wonderful things about marketing, sales, project management, disaster planning and recovery. The world seems bright as never before!

I think I am a perfect example of a mid-career professional that has not finished college, but have excelled at my job. Brainbench has enabled my employer and me to have more confidence in technology and the software we use.

I like Brainbench because of the immediate feedback. The tests have shown me that I know a lot more than I give myself credit for.
